Sorting Materials

                                                        Sorting   Materials   Station:1      Sedimentation & Decantatio n Materials used : Beaker, sand, water, stirrer, paper funnel. Observation : When we mix sand and water and leave it for some time, the sand will settle down, some of the dust particles will float on the water, and heavy will settle down. Then we should filter it through a funnel to another beaker and the pure water will be filtered and sand stuck in the funnel this method is called filtration. Station:2 Handpicking Materials used : Stones, kidney beans, moong dal. Observation : Big materials are easy to separate but small materials are very hard to separate. Station:3 Churning Materials used : Cup, stirrer, cream, ice. Observation : After mixing it for an hour it will become butter.
